Reddish and yellowish liquid trickled out from the fuselage, revealing the first outward sign of a leak from the twin-engined chopper. No doubt the fault had to be eradicated. They had not been smart in illegally taking off and it would cause a rumpus at the airport. They were flying over the river mouth, with their camp a ride of some miles away and hostile Arabs in the vicinity. The shock of their predicament was a bit terrifying. They had to decide right away either to declare the chopper a write-off or to try and land on the sandbars across the path of emus, cattle etc.
